Guest: Gene Conrad – Branson Airport
Gene Conrad is the Deputy Director of Marketing and Air Service Development for the new Branson Airport; the first privately funded airport in the country. Beginning May 11, 2009, travelers from around the world will have new, low-cost options to travel quickly to the beautiful Ozark mountains and experience first-hand all the excitement and entertainment that makes Branson the Live Music Show Capital of the World.
The first two airlines to serve the Branson Airport are AirTran Airways and Sun Country Airlines. Between the two, passengers can fly non-stop from Atlanta, Minneapolis, Milwaukee and Dallas, all at very affordable rates. Connecting flights from most anywhere in the country are also possible at low rates never before available in this part of the country.
The grand opening of the facility begins with the action-packed, world-class 1st Annual Branson Airshow, May 8 – 10, 2009. The show features many of the country’s top air show performers including the USAF Thunderbirds, the US Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, Aeroshell Aerobatic Team to name just a few.
